Should I tip the contractor?
I just had a lot of work done on my house … new roof, vinyl siding, gutters, shed, new windows. Should I tip the contractor or buy a gift of thanks? I know he did a ton of money on it. Would it be too personal or make him uncomfortable? I've been working with him for 2 months. What do you think?
My father is a contractor …. you're right when you say the man just made a ton of money at home …. That alone is enough. The contractors are happy to get your business and your business is making money …. It is quite happy. If you really feel compelled to let you know how happy you are with work, a thank you card would be a nice gesture, perhaps with a card gift from Lowe's or Home Depot … a place that could use it for another project to work, but by all means do not feel obliged to get anywhere. There is work that Councils need to show that you liked their service. Good luck!
