How cut cost is a common concern of all presswork operators who shall be proficient in the knowledge of plate making and printing technology, costs print standard, paper specification and function and the production capacity of printing. To reduce cost, which will ensure the rational selection of technologies and materials of paper, according to the capability of printing books for the practice of printing needs work.Every an overall design is by the designer, who will work with content considerations, property, the amount of images and words, and readers. Cost is an important element on competition. Now take a look at how to reduce costs in light of pre-print design. 1? Paper Format

Inadequate selection paper format would increase the loading lip and reduce the scope of paper. Books with lots of short lines, such as poetry, adopts 32-mo? Cuyo fore-edge and the channel has plenty of room. Using long, narrow 36-mo could reduce paper consumption. For the same type of paper, more weight means higher cost. Weight increase of text paper thickness would increase the spine. Sometimes, weight and cover paper format will be adjusted, which influence many aspects and, finally, increased costs of paper. Rational selection of paper material not mean to do shoddy work. The use of plain paper to print fine screen plate would cause the lint page and be crippling. Normal readings can use newsprint, but the books must be kept for a long time should not use newsprint, it is easy to time. 3. Page Number

In the process of making, zero page shall be avoided. Except for some text, a book also includes other parts such as head page, preface, table of contents, copyright page etc. Each part may use different paper. Coverage will be designed according to size book, the thickness of the column and the size of the flaps. Flap can be designed bigger while ensuring easy to print and save paper. Most of the flaps could be above 30mm. However, some housing designs are not well know paper specification, format and print performance, fixing flap size randomly without regard to paper format. Therefore, paper waste is usually caused by the product to meet the requirement of the specification and paper format. Most book covers now need to be laminated after printing, so, the cost is even higher. For example, a number of books have Volume I and Volume II. Both are 32 months and each has about 600 parts. Use 52g paper to print the column is 22 mm thick, and the cover adopts offset printing. Each volume is printed 20 thousand and be laminated after printing. If designers do not know the specifications and paper format as well, and make the flap is 65mm, 787 × 1092 1? 16 paper is needed. If the flap is made to be 40 mm according to paper format, 787 x 1092 1? Role of 8 can be used. Except in special need, do not use gold foils as stamping material, use stamping aluminum hot, color film etc instead, to reduce costs. 7. Printing Technology

However, for volumes of books in less than 50 thousand, the composition could lead to adopt auto complete, auto or part of eight presses to print page. Composition laser could adopt BB double sided offset printing which are exclusively used for printing books and magazines and the printing cost is calculated according to ream. You can also use 01 or 08 Type one color offset printing which are single printing face and the cost is calculated according to ream. But BB offset printing are faster but less cost of printing a single color offset printing. Photo album high quality that requires the use of dual-color or four color offset printing. New year picture, front-back role and purpose of those big solid shall use single-color offset printing quality. Printers must have advanced knowledge of the press, the level of performance and cost calculation, otherwise, high-cost printing technology may be adopted and the quality of the book may be affected.
