Roof Flashing Gutter

Roof flashing over a door?

I have a back porch. Rain water falls from the roof with two slopes on this porch outside my door splashing and soaking jambs. The ceiling is too low for the gutters and I was just thinking to divert rainwater to each side of the door. Thinking only bend metal flashing finish and sliding under a course of shingles. What do you think? The course of shingles over the eaves which would not have a problem only for thrusting. Thank you.

It will work … … … … … The only problem I see is that if you live in an area with snow … this could create an ice dam.
