What kind of system of rain / channel is available for a Tudor house?
I have a house in a historic section of the city that is a Tudor. There are several steep peaks that do not have channels that have told me that is normal. What are my options for the management of water dripping from them? Is there options other channels? There is an area on the ground leaving a huge puddle when it rains. If anything being on the ground to collect water … some gravel or something well? I'd appreciate any information. Thanks.
There are endless possibilities with copper, zinc, copper and lead to channel and direct the rainwater. there are also many options for what to do with water. could just dig a big hole and fill it with stones of medium size which allows water to drain naturally without causing a pond. There are several different ways to do this. if you are interested in using rainwater, there are several options for that too. you can buy tanks that can be installed underground with water pumps to use for your garden. this is what they do … I like the route the water into a container, then install hoses soaking in the bottom of the container and wrap soaker hoses through the flowerbeds. gravity will cause the water through hoses, bit by bit landscape irrigation. I like to use old wooden whiskey barrels or large pots of clay, which is consistent with the design of houses. a tudor I would suggest the barrels of whiskey.
