Heli channel remote control – water?

Long story short …. My mini remote control helicopter is stuck in the gutter too high I can not leave until the weekend. If it rains, will break forever? Or are generally designed to survive in the water?

water and electronics is not a good party. if in fact remove the battery to get wet and let the thing dry for a while. can not hook up to until you know it is completely dry or else can cause a short circuit and get toasted.
