What can be used to divert water runoff from the house?

My house has no channels and do not want to install any. When it rains, we have a strong waterfall in our garden shed. I have an old hand pump on a wagon wheel with a cast iron boiler great standing next to him. Both have flowers in and around them. What I can include in this garden to divert water runoff that is pleasing to the eye and fits my theme of the garden? FYI: I decided to use a shallow concrete container. It leans slightly to sink a little and lay eggs on the rocks and around the bowl. Give a flower bed Zen bit eye to it. I have spoken to some photos I took some time during a heavy rainstorm and used them to help me get a good placement of the cup and rocks.
