How I can make these applications of optimization of a few?
I'm stuck on a few (I am the study and practice) haha A rectangular large sheet of metal, 12 inches wide, is turned into a rain gutter to climb the two sides to be perpendicular to the blade. How many inches should be increased to give a ditch full capacity? If a box with a square base and an open top is to have a volume of 4 ft ^ 3, find the dimensions that require less material. (Neglect the thickness of the material and construction waste) *** I'm not sure if the process of the above could be applied to the next (if you do not answer) but here's another: A cylindrical metal container with an open top is to carry out 1 m ^ 3. Find the dimensions that require the least amount of material (no waste construction) Thanks!
The answer is, obviously, 6.02 x 10 ^ 23 ….
