Should I paint my front fascia below the set of channels or just the lip that hangs?

I'm getting done my gutters and roofers wanted to know if I wanted to paint the entire fascia and gutter to contain the install or if they should install them and I just painted the bottom. Who cares anyway?

If the paint and the wood is in good shape and it's only a matter of color, then you can get away with just painting the bottom, but if you are going to be painting anyway you may as well just paint it all and give the fascia that extra level of protection.
