A golf ball rolls into an open channel worth?
Yesterday came the problem. I pulled out a par five. On the left is a large bank descending to the street. At the bottom of the large bank is an open channel lined with concrete to carry the rainwater. My ball rolled down the bank and channel meters deep, and then rolled about 50 feet away downhill towards the tee. What happens? No red stakes and no OB. Where I can put my ball and no penalty stroke?
This would be an immovable obstruction classified therefore entitled to free relief. A club length from the point nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole. Rule 24-2.
