What most annoys you about TV news anchors?
I think some anchors are definitely better than others, but here there are some things that drives me nuts: – When the anchor makes a huge deal out of trying to pronounce the name of a country "correctly" (as if to say "Kitchen" of Qatar) – When the anchor makes a ridiculous comment free at the end of a story such as "What a horrible tragedy -. Now the time …." When the anchor does a complicated question and then start having a panic attack because the person is not responding fast enough, and finally cuts off half the sentence – I'm about to scream when the anchors are now referring to the press conference as "press." This language may be inside, but its use in air just comes across as trying (unsuccessfully) to cool. Every time one of them said "foot" I have to change the channel. Any agree or disagree?
I actually think they are being very well paid for a job that requires almost no skill. They read the news that someone else wrote. Journalists use to develop their own stories and make their own investigation and research. They are called "talent", but actually have no "talent" just a good voice and looks above average.
