In a newly built house in Massachusetts, the builder has installed a drip edge at all eaves and gables. Can it replace the need for the installation of a channel, or still need a channel to be installed?

2 functions differently. the edge Drip: keep the water back under the shingles. Channels: keep the water from the roof and goes straight to the sides of its founding. channels will definitely recommend. I hope that helps.
