What did, what was it that accomplish?
Helena Rose Gutteridge (April 8, 1879 – October 3, 1960) was a suffragist, labor activist and the first woman elected to the board of the city of Vancouver, British Columbia. Born in London, England, founded the Woman Suffrage BC League shortly after his arrival in Vancouver in 1911. Later he joined the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation and was elected to Vancouver City Council in 1937, serving for another term. You can read a book about it in Google books.
