My peach tree has peaches! What now?

Hello, I have a really nice peach gave out beautiful flowers and foliage but no fruit last year. I am so excited this year to see the little fuzzy balls (what kept out of the gutter!) Coming out of the flowers as flowers fell. Some of them are now marble size, so they know to be peaches. I was wondering if anyone can advise on what to do now to make sure that my peaches grow big and strong! I know I have to cover in cold weather and I'm ready to collect some of them before they are mature enough to avoid breaking branches – Is there anything else I can do to help them along and keep bugs out of them? I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, by the way, so the weather is nice and I water the tree once a day in the dead of summer.

Depending on the size of the tree fruit thinning should be considered before they are half inch long. I'll take the count to about six inches a peach in one branch. short twigs can only be a peach. Doing this will encourage others to get more large. This will also keep the branches to break with too much weight. deep water and hold off on fertilizer until after the harvest.
