I am buying a house 1900 square feet with 900 SF finished basement. 100 amp is okay?

House was built in 1962. "New roof, siding, windows, doors, gutters, kitchen, bathrooms, master bedroom, electric service and wiring. "The range is gas, and heat is gas. conditioning, washer and dryer. Should I be concerned with the 100-amp service?

100 amplifiers can be either, depending on the usage habits Electric occupants of the house. However, I would be suspicious of the claim "electric service and wiring new" if the house has a panel of 100 amps. What the hell is what we mean by "electricity service new" if it refers to a new group? Be careful to confirm all The claims of the seller. Some builders are using aluminum wiring in the 60's and 70's. There is no problem with aluminum wiring … provided that perform annual maintenance! Theoretically each switch, plug, and aluminum j-box wiring is supposed to be open each year and each wire nut is supposed to control, or replaced. Nobody does this, of course, so that-God forbid-in an electrical fire insurance company might try to squirm for failing to pay! Get your inspector to verify all such claims. but as for the original question … 100 amps would be fine. Just do not get air conditioning, a spa, and plenty of plasma televisions.
