Dumping a motorcycle?
I threw my Suzuki Marauder 800 1998 yesterday … Chrome scraped, broken headlight and mirror, bruised knee, road rash … By Not to mention a bruised ego. I was not driving like an idiot, I'm a relatively new pilot. I took a sharp turn too fast and ended up in the gutter on the other side of the road (I learned my lesson.) I'm sore, but mostly angry that my bike is all scratched. Any advice on how to deal with dumping your bike? I made a driver safety course last summer … I got a leather jacket, but not all caps. And yes, he had a helmet too.
One of the accidents single most common vehicle on a motorcycle is taking a turn too fast and hard work. Period! A few things have to happen here if you will continue applying their bicycle safely. You will have more experience to determine their approach and the input speed. This takes time, you can not top this. ALWAYS err on the side of the speed reduction if you are unsure. One way to help determine the focus and speed of entry is to look further into the turn. Then once you have committed to change, not fixed on any object a (the sidewalk on the opposite side of the street?). If you feel you have entered the turn at very high speeds, have some confidence in you and the machine. Look at it this way we have been told that you are a relatively new user, I guess at this point you have not had an angle has been scraping your pegs or pipe. Just look and press more difficult, more throttle, not less throttle, you might be surprised. In trying to adjust speed slower during the turn has an adverse effect on the stability of your bike. As slow, the natural tendency is to straighten the bike, something that will make the turn inevitably go wide. Glad to know that this is only a few scratches and bruises and some need repairs on your bike. The oncoming traffic would have been different story all together. Fixing the bike is a bonding experience, take your time, healing (both) and ride another day! Take slow, time security experience will help him relax a little. Remember that wherever you look, is where you will go.
