Kitchen heating cables?
How hard is to install the heating cable channel? I have a house with two floors, some of the channels are at level one some are on the second front and rear of the house (either side.) How many outlets side I need and what power? If you pay someone what should I pay?
I have installed these in the past and simply put the wiring in the gutter (usually I have also installed a couple of feet to the bottom of the deck in a zig-zag with clips included in the kit). You will need at least a dedicated circuit depending on the length of cable end using, see the rating in the specifications for the cable. If you have a dedicated 20 amp circuit then I will not go over 80% of that capacity is, no more of 1,920 watts per circuit. There are too many variables to calculate the cost, I would make sure to use a licensed and insured electrician. My guess would be $ 200 per dedicated circuit and probably labor charge per hour for the installation of heating cable. Good luck!
