Gutters built into the eaves of houses HELP?

We are looking to buy a house that is, the horizontal canal built in the eaves / Area ceiling of 2 'back from the edge. The only exposed part of the drainage system is vertical stripes. It has seeped into the house three different room along the perimeter of the house, causing roof damage. The owner said it corrected the repair of leaks, but did'nt damage. Does anyone know more about this type of system and how difficult it is to repair? Thanks for getting legitimate answers. If possible, please include links to resources if available. Thanks!

Have you ever made an offer for the house? If not, the offer depends on a satisfactory building inspection. Get a good inspector (ask your real estate agent for recommendations), and then have them check the house. He can tell if the repairs have been made properly and if the job needs to be done. Even you can give an idea of what it might cost to do the necessary repairs. Be the best money you spend.
