Damage to nerves in the legs?

I was out of the pool during swim practice and I lost my hands and hit my left shin hard against the curb. There was a very big hit at the point of impact, but surprisingly very minimal bruising. The intensity of pain was severe and I was surprised that no left more than a brand. Its 3 weeks later and all visible signs of trauma have left but its still sore. When I run my nails over it or scratch the point I can hardly feel anything and is a strange feeling comparable to sand scratch in a ball of flexion. Do I have any nerve damage? Should I go to the doctor?
