Clogged Gutter Drain

I found a sparrow's egg, while I was cleaning my gutters. Anybody know how to tell if the egg is good?

Before getting reamed to have a wild bird egg is an egg house Sparrow … which is not protected under the Migratory Bird Act … that's fine with me having to … and I also already know what to expect when and if it hatches … problem is my experiance with birds is chicks, chicks and adult birds … I know very little about eggs now … I found a way to keep a constant temperature and when plants have in my mom. (she starts each spring to be ready for the floor) I know in turn that at least half back 2-3 times a day … and that moisture is important … (plants too so that shouldn't be a problem) so … how do I know if the egg will hatch? or merely a failure … Oh, and no … I could not stop in the ditch … had a value of 3 feet of drainage pipe blocked with nests … bad drainage and the house … one other thing … How many years ago that the egg has to be before you can say candleing?

Candling is fine but if you hold it and it looks solid, then it is very possible that you may have an egg that will hatch soon. You will not see the veins such as stuffed chicken egg. Just give it time. It will become almost black, if not good. Worth a try. I want my sparrow. I've been 2 weeks. She is charming and a great pet. She loves all of us, including our cockatoos. And the cockatoos like her. They flock together. Good Luck. It has the makings of a great friend that if the egg is good. I hope so.
